Since I'm not working, I'm doing a lot of volunteering I wouldn't have time for otherwise.
I've completely reorganized a church library, including weeding.
I've done several shopping trips for the Community Food Bank, and I'm the person who does the online ordering from the parent org in Atlanta.
I'm doing Relay for Life on June 5.
I help me mom with her medical appointments, including doing the dressing changes from her recent surgeries.
I help my daughter's Girl Scout troop when I can. I've even cross-pollinated the volunteering there, arranging for the GS troop to go to the Food Bank to help straighten shelves after a food drive.
Right now, I'm supervising the kids in getting together things they don't play with to be donated to ayouth group garage sale.

I don't have money, but I do have time.

My first day of posting consisted of mom drahmah, kvetching about the kids, a tarot reading and a brief summation of how I ended up going through a divorce at that point in time.

Since then it's been mom drahmah, troll drahmah, kvetching about the kids, work drahmah, tarot readings, and all sorts of relationship ups, downs, ins and outs. LJ has been my outlet through divorce, single parenthood, new boyfriend, multiple job changes, ending relationships, hook-ups, re-marrying my ex ex-husband, moving all over the Southeast, parental death, parental insanity (no, the two aren't really related) and life in general. I've met and re-met some of the best friends of my life through this medium.

It's been a hell of a ride, LJ. Thank you!

ETA: Seven years this week! I've had an LJ address longer than I've ever had one physical address in my life.
