N and the officer didn't make it back over here. They got attacked by a group of guys coming out of the extended-stay hotel next to the carwash.

P decided we needed to put the library on lockdown. We've closed the doors. No one is getting in or out until the police get here. S and I got the... the body into one of the study carrels and locked it in. F and D, the other custodians, are cleaning up the biohazard mess. I think that volume of the OED is a total loss.

We've got a storytime going on in the back. Staff members are letting the moms know there's been an "incident" and the storytime will be extended. I don't think the computer users know anything's going on yet. Not like they'd leave the library anyways--they'll stay in their seats as long as they can.

I... I really am not feeling well. I'm all queasy. There are some folks on my f-list who are trained for dealing with things like killing people. I'm not.

Is it bad that I feel worse for the OED than that stupid patron?

Our storytime must be going great. The kids are all screaming and cheering. I can hear it out here.
You guys stay safe in there!

Heh, you too. Tell your mgr another library's on lockdown--it may alter her decision.

I've now scrolled back through your posts today & I'm starting to figure out there's something very odd going on here.

Yeah, tell me about it.

My library is odd. This is odd for my library, and that scares me.

Yes, I think so. It's started happening out where I live.

I was seeing reports from Australia and New Zealand last night. It looks like whatever this is started over there.

Yeah, my Aussie friend says there's a lot of weirdness going on down there.

We're okay up here. Although a couple of staff just arrived from Milwaukee, and one of them doesn't look so hot...

Listen man - get all the food, water, and if you can't get a damn gun a small pick axe might do (you cash them in the brains with it) and hole up somewhere. They will rot, but it takes time. Only the recently deceased can ambulate. Good luck. My parents saw this kinda thing back in the sixties here in Western Pennsylvania. We can beat them - I heard on short wave there's already hunting parties out around here taking out these chowder heads. Hope where you're at allows red necks to own guns.
