A day late and a dollar short

Hey Kris, have you got a link for this project?
Well. That sounds like fun. I don't care that today is the second day of the challenge, I might as well go for it anyway. I can do two entries sometime when I'm feeling really froggy to make up. Crap, this is going to be like a month's worth of Free Topics on LJ Idol. Those are the hardest to write.
I'm trying to modify my typing style. Thanks to the arthritis, it really hurts to flex my fingers these days, so i'm trying to type while keeping my fingers as straight as possible. it's more challenging than you might think. if millions of women with 7-inch artificial fingernails can do it, so can I.
Erk. I just mentally equated artificial nails with wearing a penis on each finger. I think I just squicked myself a little.
Lately I've been going through another round of medical scheduling hell. I know doc offices have procedures to keep their paperwork running smoothly. However, when someone calls in and says "I have the referral letter in hand, I'd like to make an appointment" why would any reasonable office say no? I've had two specialists (endocrinologist and rheumatologist) say they'll contact me when they get their copy of the letter. Now this bothers me for a number of reasons: 1) the letters were mailed out almost 2 weeks ago so they should damn well BE THERE already; 2) the phone number on the letters is the wrong one for contacting me; when I told the folks on the phone that, they both refused to take down my phone number; and 3) I have the letter in hand, why can't I just bring it in with me? Argh. I need to see these docs to stay alive as long as possible. I don't just make these appointments for shits'n'giggles, kids. On the good side, I do have an appointment to see the next neurologist, who'll finally be doing the intramuscular EMG and brain MRI that I was prescribed in January. Maybe now we'll figure out why I keep feeling like I'm walking on an electric current.
Oh well. Someone will figure out what's wrong with eventually. Other than that, pervs. I'm just hoping we get all the diagnostics done before autopsy, yanno?
