How ironic is it that the day I drop an old bike off to be refurbed is the day I find out I'll need a knee replaced?

*big hugs* dangit. looking at a second opinion, or was this a second opinion?

Second opinion is tomorrow, but every treatment for advanced osteonecrosis involves surgery.

fwiw...

my HPS has just had her knee replaced. While she's still in the physical therapy stage... she's told me she already feels improvement. Most everyone I know, it's been a good thing overall.

Mom's had two and a half done. I won't lie. They hurt like a bitch. But if done correctly you'll be able to do much more.

I know I don't comment frequently here, but my wife's boss was barely walking a year ago. She had both knees replaced and now, seeing her get around, you would barely know. She said it was that best decision she has ever made.

I hope it has the same positive effect for you. Good luck!

My mom had both knees and one hip replaced. It really helped her gain mobility.
