There's been a lot going on today.

First off, I'd really appreciate it if the rental agency wouldn't allow unescorted people to pre-view our house, or would at least notify me first. Yeah, that was an interesting shower. o.0

So, had another trip to the doctor. I'm down another 7 pounds, meaning I've lost over 20 since I started my thyroid meds! Yay! Doc said she doesn't care what the MRI said, I'm symptomatic for at least a bulging disc and she's sending me to a neurosurgeon. Yay? Doc also said I really, REALLY shouldn't be driving any more. I have limited mobility for seeing behind me (which makes changing lanes all kinds of fun), I'm in a perpetual fog from the painkillers, and there's a possibility that whatever's causing my lower body numbness could shift enough to make me lose control of my legs completely. Having that happen at 65mph would be BAD. So, no more driving for me. Boo. Anyone want to buy my car (2005 Ford Escape Hybrid)? No sense in paying for a vehicle I can't use, after all.

I stopped by the housing office to drop off some paperwork and confirm Guinness' breed and working status. Now that we've determined he's not one of the forbidden breeds, we got moved over to the ADA housing waiting list. That switched us from being #14 on the list to #1, so we'll be moving sometime in the next week or so. If anyone knows the area, we'll be living at the New River Air Station. Sucks for [livejournal.com profile] musicwolf's commute, but we're going to be in our own house with our own furniture again! Best of all, no more stairs so I'm not going to be stuck inside all the time. Yay! The officer housing is right on the bay; unfortunately it's also right next to the airfield. Oh well, I got used to artillery in Fayetteville, I can get used to helos overhead here.

ETA: Does the Apple Corporation really have no women on their marketing team? iPad? Really? Is it going to be available in Liner for light information and Ultra for heavy flow info streamers? This ranks right up there with "Have a Happy Period" for bad marketing ideas.
