deza: (Strip)
There's a review of Strip going up at AARP.
here and here.

"STRIP, by Marna Martin, is an interesting combination of anthropology, Egyptology, and psychology, with a healthy dose of libido. When graphic arts major Lissa falls behind on her rent, utilities, and tuition, she decides to try her hand (and choicer parts) as an exotic dancer at Delilah's. She doesn't realize just how exotic Delilah's is, until her DJ boyfriend comes to her with tales of a hidden basement room. This open-ended supernatural romance is an adventure that will set off your hot flashes ladies! Fascinating details abound, from what makeup best highlights tan lines, to what ancient Aztec's drank in their chocolate. It's a quick (and steamy) read, enjoy!"

These still make me squee. :)

Since I'm not working, I'm doing a lot of volunteering I wouldn't have time for otherwise.
I've completely reorganized a church library, including weeding.
I've done several shopping trips for the Community Food Bank, and I'm the person who does the online ordering from the parent org in Atlanta.
I'm doing Relay for Life on June 5.
I help me mom with her medical appointments, including doing the dressing changes from her recent surgeries.
I help my daughter's Girl Scout troop when I can. I've even cross-pollinated the volunteering there, arranging for the GS troop to go to the Food Bank to help straighten shelves after a food drive.
Right now, I'm supervising the kids in getting together things they don't play with to be donated to ayouth group garage sale.

I don't have money, but I do have time.
