Aug. 21st, 2010 04:51 pmGot home from the doc appt yesterday to find the internet was down. Just got it back this afternoon.
So, latest from the neurologist: My nerve responses in my left leg are slow, and there's some compression damage on my spinal column in the lower lumbar area. Neither are enough to explain the amount of pain or the difficulty walking. Blood tests show I have arsenic in mysystem, but it's not organic arsenic (i.e. didn't come from seafood). I also got anomalous results on the Lyme disease test (<90 is normal, 91 or higher is positive, I'm between 90 and 91). Next steps are a brain MRI and re-testing the EMG in a few weeks. Yay?
On the good side, the test for Celiac came back negative! We're still checking to see if I have another gluten intolerance, but I celebrated yesterday by having a normal burger. Today I've been mostly laid up with back pain again. Back to keeping a food log to see if these circumstances are related.
