Awards Day

School let out yesterday. over the last week, both the kids got recognized at their class Awards Days. Both of them are moving up to the next grade--Ro in 5th and Kyle in 3rd.

Kyle got awards for Best Effort and Good Attendance. Due to transferring in, neither kid was eligible for Citizenship or AR awards.

Rowan got Gold awards in Literacy, Social Studies and Science, a Silver award in Math, recognition as a Peer Ambassador and a Presidential Award of Excellence for Academic Achievement. We're going to have her recognition letter from President Obama framed.

I remember those things, although we didn't have it in all schools. However,, we as a family look back now and realize the teachers were just giving me the grades, as they had extremely low expectations what and where I would be. You knwo what I mean?
