Woke up when the pain meds wore thin. I'm hoping to get back to sleep when this next dose kicks in.

We've spent the weekend painting at the new place. It feels so good to be able to claim the space as ours. The kids are both very proud of the ways their rooms look after their hard work. Few things make a kid happier than allowing them to pick their own paint color to express themselves.

Later today, I've got a full-body CT scan. That'll be fun. Hopefully this will show the source of my pain; once we know what's causing it, maybe someone can actually fix it. If not, I'm asking for extended-release hydrocodone again. There's no reason I should be waking up crying in the middle of the night like this, and it happens far too often.

Also get to talk to the contractor doing the accessibility renovations later. He's coming by to put in mini-ramps so I can get the chair out the door without having to install pogo sticks behind the front wheels. I'm going to ask him to extend the ramp area on the front porch. Right now, I don't have room to turn the chair around after coming through the door. Call me crazy, I'd like to have the ability to close and lock the door after I leave the house.
